The fuel arm of an established group

Onyx Biomass is the wholesale biomass-fuel arm of Onyx Commercial Ltd — the group behind Luxury Wood, Log Barn and Log Delivery. We supply biomass fuel in bulk to installers, fuel merchants, estates, holiday parks and commercial heat users across the UK.

Because of the volume the group buys, we secure keen prices from quality-assured UK and European mills and pass the saving on. Our financial backing means we can offer trade terms of 30, 60 or even 90 days to approved accounts.

What is ENplus A1, and why does it matter?
ENplus A1 is the top grade of the international wood-pellet quality standard. It guarantees low ash, low moisture, high calorific value and consistent pellet sizing — cleaner burning, fewer boiler issues and better efficiency. It's the grade most domestic and commercial biomass boilers are designed for.
Is your fuel on the Biomass Suppliers List (BSL)?
Yes — our biomass fuel is BSL listed, so it qualifies for supported heat schemes that require BSL-authorised fuel. Ask us for the current authorisation number for the product you need.
What quantities do you supply, and where?
We deliver full and part loads UK-wide from our 44,000 sq ft premises in Scunthorpe. Pellets can be palletised or bulk-blown into your store or silo. We can also run group deliveries to the same area to keep costs down.
Do you offer trade credit?
Yes — please call us to discuss. We can offer payment terms of 30, 60 or even 90 days to approved trade accounts.
What VAT applies to biomass fuel?
Wood fuel bought for combustion (pellets, logs, briquettes) generally qualifies for the reduced 5% rate of VAT as a domestic fuel. We'll confirm the correct rate for your order.
